The Pregnancy Loss and Infant Death Alliance has a unique purpose: to provide a formal network and a unified national presence to increase awareness and education on the emotional experiences and needs of bereaved families.  PLIDA’s overarching goal  is to support those whose work supports bereaved families.  We offer a central place for professionals, parent advocates media, and policy makers to find information on the emotional aspects of pregnancy loss and infant death.  PLIDA also organizes the biennial International Perinatal Bereavement Conference.

Association of SIDS and Infant Mortality Programs (ASIP): www.asip1.org

ASIP is a multidisciplinary professional membership organization whose members provide community education, training programs, and consultation for health departments, hospitals, emergency responders, medical examiners and law enforcement. The SIDS/ID professionals in ASIP (whose work addresses Sudden Infant Death Syndrome and Other Infant Death) represent a majority of the States, in many cases including the State SIDS/ID program director.
